Catania - Rome - Singapore

Not much to report here - up at 4:00am to catch a 7:00am flight from Catania to Rome, followed by 12:00 midday flight to Singapore, arriving 6:00am the next morning. The good thing is that the bike seems to have arrived undamaged, although I had to pay 55 euros in Catania for the extra piece of luggage. This also looked like happening in Rome, but I was spared any extra charge. Had three seats to myself, so the 10 and half hour flight was more bearable than it otherwise might have been. Also managed to check into the hotel by 7:00am and get a shower before heading off to meet my new grand daughter.I finally get to meet Alexandra Jean Ewin, first grand child, born on May 7th while I was in Italy.
